I grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota but graduated from Apple Valley High School. After high school, I attended Minnesota State University of Mankato and graduated with a degree in K-12 School Health. In 1997 I accepted my first long call reserve teaching position at Hopkins High School, followed by a year of part time teaching at Eastview High School in 1998. In 1999 I joined the staff of Kennedy High School as a Health Teacher and Varsity Volleyball coach. In 2009, I earned my Master's of Education degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
Originally a Health and Character Education teacher, I am currently a technology integration specialist. This means I work with teachers to integtrate technology into their lessons when it can help make them more engaging and effective. Though I am no longer involved in coaching, I am still active in following the Volleyball community.
