We will be moving to an electronic method of transcript processing called eDocs, through Naviance Family Connection, for most new college applications in the fall of 2017-18.
Students will still apply to colleges online, but their transcripts will be sent electronically, rather than through the U.S. Post Office from the high school. This will apply to all applications, including the Common Application. If you begin your application process early, you may receive a notification from the Common Application that your school participates in eDocs and you will need to complete the Common Application matching process on eDocs before the application will be complete. Instructions for doing this will be available mid-August.
Additionally, teacher and counselor letters of recommendation may also be sent through eDocs.
Test scores will continue to be mailed using the postal service which takes longer, so we highly recommend sending your test scores through the official test site, if possible. We are currently preparing for this transition, which includes training staff to answer questions, and will provide you with more detailed instructions in early August. Information will also be available on the school’s College and Career Center webpage and Counselors’ webpage in August.
