Carol Kampa, Principal
Kris Krenz, Assistant Principal
Ms. Krenz has been the Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Activities Director at Kennedy. She enjoys working with the students, staff and community of Bloomington. "We have such wonderful staff and community, and I am excited to work with all of the amazing students and families from Kennedy. I look forward to building on the current success at Kennedy in the years to come."
Previously, Krenz served as the interim assistant principal, physical education/health teacher, DAPE teacher and athletic trainer at North St. Paul High School. Krenz finished her administrative degree at the University of St. Thomas and holds a Master's and Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota. Krenz also worked with the University of Minnesota athletic department and the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx.
Sam Hostetler, Assistant Principal
Kelly Brown, Dean of Students
Kelly Brown will be in her 6th year at Kennedy has been a Special Education teacher and para. Prior to coming to Kennedy, Kelly worked at Edina H.S. for 7 years. Additionally, Kelly comes to Kennedy with 10 years of experience running non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities working with students interesting in STEM and working with adults with disabilities.
Prior to her non-profit and high school work, Kelly worked in professional theater and film in New York and Los Angeles. Kelly holds an Education Specialist Degree and K-12 Principal License, a Masters Degree in Arts and Cultural Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, and a teaching license in Special Education.
Don Gramenz, Dean of Students
Don Gramenz has been in the Bloomington district for 15 years. He was a classroom teacher for 11 years at Washburn Elementary and 4 years as Peer Coach district-wide. Don earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and was a member of the Men’s Division I soccer team. He earned his Master of Arts in Teaching and licensure from the University of St. Thomas and his administrative license through the University of Minnesota.
Prior to becoming a teacher in Bloomington, Don played professional soccer for 9 years and coached professional soccer for 2 years.
